Jill Jarvis here to share with you my homemade flip calendar instructions. I actually created these as 2007 Christmas gifts. The inserts were all paper products and individual photos were added each month. Now that I’ve gone hybrid I’m going to tell everyone to keep the calendar stands and will send them a full 4x6 picture to include the monthly date info along with a current picture. |

Here are the instructions to create the stand:
1. Begin with chipboard and cut two pieces to measure 5 x 6.5 inches. You will also need two pieces of patterned paper (either printed digi paper or traditional patterned paper) cut it to 5 x 6.5 cover the chipboard. 2. Using spray adhesive, spray the chipboard and place the paper in place. {Optional step…cover the paper mod podge to seal.} 3. Once these pieces are dry use the bind-it-all machine to punch holes along one long edge of each piece (eleven holes total on mine). 4. Cut off the post edge of six 6x6 page protectors so that they measure 5 x 6. Then use the bind-it-all to punch 11 holes on the 6” open side (be sure to set the guide to the inner page setting. 5. Match up the holes on the pages and covers (sandwich the paper covered sides of the chipboard over the protectors). Using a ½” wire binding and the bind-it-all machine to fasten the calendar together. 6. The base is made up of a piece of chipboard cut to 3.5 x 6. {Optional step…cover this piece of chipboard with patterned paper.} Using a scoring blade to crease this piece at approximately 1/2” on the long edge. Use a liquid adhesive to adhere the base to the insides of each of the stand ‘legs’. Then set aside to dry. Now to create calendar page! The page protectors are cut to fit a 4x6 print perfectly. These stands could also be made as a coffee table flip album to just be enjoyed, not even as a calendar.
