Project 365: by Karen Maggie

.... continue from page 1

The next two layouts demonstrate the use of a more traditional scrapping style for the weekly summary pages. Although any kind of kit can be used for Project 365, these two pages utilize some of the special products that have been developed specifically for use in Project 365 pages.

Do you want a printed Photo Book?
It’s good to think about what you want to do with all your photos and layouts when the year is over. If you intend to have them printed into a photo book, then you’ll want to think about that before the end of the year. Photo book printing companies have certain requirements and it is wise to be aware of these up front to make sure that any layouts created won’t need major revisions at year end.

As you can see, there are many different ways to do a Project 365. The only “rule” is to take one photo each day! Completing any year-long project takes commitment and work. The key thing to remember with this is to keep it fun and let go of the guilt and pressure. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Many people will quit as soon as they miss a day, yet most of us (perhaps all of us) will miss taking a photo eventually. Don’t let that cause you to abandon the project. Instead, either take a photo of something that ‘represents’ that day, or fill that spot on your template or layout with a pretty patterned paper and don’t worry about it! You could even journal about what you did that day or why you weren’t able to take a photo. Remember it’s all about the journey, it’s not about being perfect!

There are many digital scrapping resources available and the list is growing each day. Below is a comprehensive list of resources for completing a Project 365.
