aking Great Birthday Party Pictures

It is easy to overlook great photo opportunities while hosting a children’s birthday party. Keep in mind the following tips, and your birthday photos will rise above the standard point and shoot clutter of people and movement.

Don't Forget the Details

Before the party begins, gather some of the birthday items together for a memorable display. Stack the presents, display the cake, and don’t forget the balloons. Get close up and fill the frame, it’s shots like this that display the unique personality of party.

Candid Moments
Inevitably, most of your shots will be candid shots of children and adults interacting during the party. Try different points of view. Go for a wide shot to capture the overall scene. Get right in the middle of the fun and capture individuals in their element, avoiding poses and direction. Take advantage of the bright colors around you and incorporate them into your images, they are sure to stand out. Using a wide angle lens is a good way to capture the scene in its entirety.
