2. Print your shaped pages onto photo paper, let dry, cut out stars.

3. You will need two star shapes to create the ornament. I used two pages from a star-shaped chipboard album, but you could also just use your printed star shaped pages to trace out stars onto cardboard or card stock to make your own base (this may not be as sturdy though).

4. Once your stars are ready, cut a slit in each star: on one star cut from the top center down to a little past the mid point; on the other star cut from the bottom center up to a little past the mid point (see image above). Assemble the ornament by sliding the two stars together at the slits.
5. Optional: I painted a border of gold paint around the outer edges of the stars, so that any exposed edges would look more finished.
6. Fold each of the printed stars in half and adhere to the angled star shapes on all four sides of the ornament.
7. Punch a hole at the top of the ornament and thread a ribbon through to hang it with. Embellish with glitter glue or other decorations if desired!
You can also try this technique with other shapes – use your imagination! Like traditional ball ornaments, these photo ornaments can create fun distorted images if you tilt the bent photos in different directions (especially if you place the faces directly on the fold).
