Finished box complete with brad and flower

Next, fold along the edges of the bottom of the box.
Fold one of the diagonal flaps over the long side of the box and crease the edge.  (see Photo2)

Do the same to the other side, meeting in the middle.  When you have creased all of the edges except the top, your box should look like this: (see Photo3)

Photo 3

Use a paper piercer or other sharp implement (needle, point of scissors, hole punch, etc.) to create a hole where the two flaps meet on the front of the box.  Insert a brad for a finished look.

Are you looking for an adorable package for a tiny little present? How about a wonderful hiding place disguised as an ornament for your Christmas tree? If so, than look no further! These adorable little take-out boxes are the perfect solution. And, best of all, they allow you to use your digital and traditional scrapbooking supplies to create a one-of-a-kind hybrid project.

The Take-Out Box Template Set comes in layered psd and png formats, and will fit on an 8.5 x 11in. (A4) sheet of paper.  Simply create your project by using the template just as you would any digital layered template: (For all versions of Photoshop) First, click on the layer in the template that you want to work with, then switch over to your digital paper and drag the digital paper onto the thumbnail of the template in your photo bin.  Make sure your digital paper is just above the layer that you want to “cut” from the paper.  Now, hold down the “alt/option” key on your keyboard while hovering your mouse between the two layers in the layers palette on the right until you see the arrow change to what looks like two intertwined circles.  Now click!  Your digital paper will clip itself to the shape on my template.  Do this for each of the layers in the template. I like to change the color of the scoring lines to something that will blend well with my chosen paper before I print.

Print your project on matte photo paper (for the truest, most accurate color) and make sure you have chosen the borderless printing option on your printer.

Score along the scoring lines using a straight edge (like a ruler) and a scoring tool (like an embossing stylus, bone folder, or even the dull edge of a butter knife).  This will help you when it is time to fold the box.

Cut out your project after you have scored the lines.  I like to ink the edges of my project at this point to hide any cutting imperfections.

Now, begin folding along your scoring lines:

You should start with the four diagonal corners (as shown in the picture), pinching them together.  (see Photo1)
