When one hears the name Dawn Inskip, immediately images of beautifully, hand drawn or hand painted kits and elements come to mind. This issue, Dawn has created an exclusive kit, titled, 'Moon River' for TDS Studio. Find out more of this talented artist by reading our short interview with her:
Q: What is the inspiration when creating this kit called ‘Moon River’ for TDS Studio?
Dawn: I tried to cover all tastes and topics and timeless, a kit which could be used over and over and elements which could easily be mixed with other goodies
Q: How would you define your style of design at this moment?
Dawn: I started out as a paper scrapper, so I kind of gravitate towards paper style scrapping… most of my kits include my hand drawn and coloured elements, which is probably my trademark.
Q: Where do you live? Does it have an influence to your inspiration and type of kits that you produce?
Dawn: I live in England, a little North of London – which has absolutely no signifacance to my kits LOL
Q: How long have you been designing? Why digital scrapbooking?
Dawn: I started designing digital products in 2007… I started as a paper scrapper, toyed with a little hybrid, but quickly became addicted to digital and haven't paper scrapped since. I like the fact that everything is at my finger-tips, with no mess!
Q: Is designing your full time occupation?
Dawn: Yes, I now design full-time and love the whole process and the flexibility of working at home.
Q: What was the most fulfilling and rewarding feeling you ever get about your designs?
Dawn: I love my creative team and their ability to produce fabulous work week after week and their friendship and support keeps my spirit up. I am ever grateful to my loyal customers and I'm touched by their emails and messages – be it a 'thank you' or sharing their work using my products – that gives me a real buzz.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself and family.
Dawn: I live in Bedfordshire, England with my patient and understanding hubby Paul, our precious daughter Carly, who's just turned 19, our baby lizard Marvin and 3 birdies. Carly is at University studying Marine Biology and Animal Behaviour, so we spend a lot of time relaxing with family and friends at a local zoo or wildlife park… we're nuts about animals. I love to watch British TV soaps or anything falling into the 'reality TV' bracket or something spooky!
