When TDS Studio approached Sylvie, owner of a French digital scrapbooking store called Digiscrapbooking.ch, we overcame the language barrier thanks to Julie aka hazelsmrf. Q: When was DigiScrapbooking.ch established?
Sylvie: The store was created in September 2007. At the start it was a simple store that did not offer many possibilities. In November 2008, we entirely redid the store with Zencart.
Q: What is the philosophy of the store and its specialty?
Sylvie: Our store is particularly specialized in kits with natural, real elements. However we don't hesitate to diversify when we like something else. We are always on the lookout for new and creative ideas.
Q: Where do most of your customers come from since it is a French site?
Sylvie: In reality I am of Swiss origin, and my store, while French, is Swiss! But you are correct, in the beginning, my clients were mostly French. And then we evolved, we changed our store, our design, I made a call for new designers. Ever since, our clientele is really international!
Q: How many designers do you have?
Sylvie: We have around 20 designers who all have different styles. I regularly receive requests and I take the time to try the kits, and don't hesitate to accept new designers if I feel that there is a potential.
Q: What is the inspiration when creating the collab kit, “Summer Fields” for TDS Studio?
Sylvie: We started out by choosing colors that pleased everyone. We started with soft colors, with a bright touch (red). From there, the country theme with poppies came to us. It was a real pleasure to work on this kit for you, and we really hope that it will please your readers! We would love to see the pages that will be created with it!
Q: Tell us a little about yourself and family.
Sylvie: I live in Romandy (Switzerland), in a little village surrounded by lakes and the mountains with my two sons, Noah and Ethan (7 and 2-1/2 years old). We are a very close family and we have common hobbies like skiing, swimming and riding scooters.
I started digiscrapping in December 2006 after the birth of my 2nd son. I was combing the internet for ideas on making a calendar when I fell upon some digiscrap pages.

Digiscrap really does not have anything to do with my day to day work as I am a chemical laboratory technician, so I started out using tutorials that I found on the net. Later, I created a message board and my own personal shop (www.shop.digiscrap.ch), and that's where I started receiving emails from designers wanting to sell in my shop, and how I got the idea to create digiscrapbooking.ch .
