These two talented designer have a great selection of kits and we are proud to present an exclusive one from them - Drury Lane. Find out more about both Jean & Teri by reading our short interview with them.

Q: What is the inspiration when creating this kit called ‘Drury Lane’ for TDS Studio?
Both: was created with the thought of an English country garden path in mind. The kit was created by both DigiZines by Teri and Jean Daugherty Designs exclusively for TDS. We wanted to create a kit that could be used any time of the year for a variety of themes.

Q: How would you define your style of design at this moment?
Jean: Vintage with a passion for heritage in a traditional way.
Teri: I tend to cross the line between heritage/vintage and whimsical.

Q: Where do you live? Does it have an influence to your inspiration and type of kits that you produce?
Jean: I live Northern California in an area rich with inspiration and history.
Teri: I live in a little town in South Texas with lots of Cowboys!

Q: How long have you been designing? Why digital scrapbooking?
Jean: 3 years this spring will mark how long I have been doing digital designing. Doing family history research has always been my passion, and creating family history albums became an awesome way to record that treasured information. I started designing the papers and elements to go on those pages. So designing has been the perfect fit for helping me to create the legacy I wanted to leave for my children.
Teri: About 6 or 7 years now I think. I love creating anything. But it was my background in art and love of Genalogy that brought me to scrapbooking. I began with paper scrapping but not long after creating special headers and small items for my paper pages on the computer, I was hooked and went completely digital. This has become a wonderful way to get my art out in the public and help others create treasured scrapbooks themselves.

Q: Is designing your full time occupation?
Jean: I am retired so designing is my full time occupation right now and it and leaves me with little spare time.
Teri: Yes. It has been so for at least 4 years now. I've been very blessed that others liked my creations enough to support the store I sell in with my partner Jean.

Q: What was the most fulfilling and rewarding feeling you ever get about your designs?
Jean: Now a great thrill in my life is seeing how customers are using my designs in creating their legacy albums, and it has become my goal to meet those customer needs as much as possible. It still gives me such a thrill about how customers respond to my kits.
Teri: I get that warm and fuzzy feeling every time I finish a new kit. But the main reward is when a customer uses one of my kits and then emails me about how much they enjoyed it and what joy it brought them. The thought that my creations have brought happiness and perhaps a treasured heirloom into someone's life is thrilling to me.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself and family.
Jean: My husband and I are both retired. I was an elementary school teacher for many years. We have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren. although we both grew up in Texas, we are living in Northern California.
Teri: I've been married for 21 years now to a wonderful man. We have two grown boys, both serving in the U.S. Army. I enjoy watching movies and reading books on my Nook reader in my spare time. I'm a huge gadget freak and love playing with my new IPad! I also try to create hybrid projects or paint in my extra spare time.
