Elodie aka Elo Designs is a talented French designer who recently join TDS Megamall as a designer. It is a great pleasure having her with us as you will see her beautiful designs gracing our store. This issue, Elo Designs has created a beautiful oceanic kit titled, "Splash" exclusive to TDS Studio. Check out this kit and read below to find out more about her.
Q: What is the inspiration when creating this kit called ‘Splash’ for TDS Studio?
Elo: My inspiration came from my holidays in Italy. We visit the Italy every two years and I love everything about this country. I can’t wait for July when we will finally go to the sea, relax, have fun and do a lot of shopping… of course that’s a must ! [laugh]. So this kit is a little ‘smell’ of what my holiday is going to be like.
Q: How would you define your style of design at this moment?
Elo: It's difficult to define what my styles are. I think my style of design would be between fantasy, whimsical and classical. I love mixing these styles together and create something uniquely me, like stepping into my world.
Q: Where do you live? Does it has an influence to your inspiration and type of kits that you produce?
Elo: I live in France but it has no influence to my inspiration. Books, photography and my daughter play important roles in my inspiration and the type of kits I produce.
Q: How long have you been designing? Why digital scrapbooking?
Elo: I have been designing since December of 2008. I chose digital scrapbooking after trying out my hands with the traditional method and found out I don't have the patience for it. Once I discovered digital scrapbooking, I fell in love with it immediately and have been totally addicted ever since!
Q: Is designing your full time occupation?
Elo: I am a stay at home mum and designing is my full time occupation. I am also a photographer.
Q: What was the most fulfilling and rewarding feeling you ever get about your designs?
Elo: The most fulfiling and rewarding feeling I've ever received about my designs are all the nice comments of my customers. It always make my day when a ....
customer send me a mail or post a comment in my blog telling me how much they love my designs and appreciate my freebies. This is very important to me as I know without my customers, I don't think I will be here as a designer today. So, I thank you all reading this interview for your support!
Q: Tell us a little about yourself and family.
Elo: I am a 22 year old stay at home mum of a little pricess Elisa who is 3 years old. My husband, daughter and I live in a small village in France. I am addicted to reading all kinds of books, nature, digital scrapbooking and photography. I've discovered digital scrapbooking in May of 2008 and has been totally addicted. I began designing in December of 2008 when I started producing realistic and fantansy products myself so that I could designing layouts of my daughter. I'm a total chocolate and candy addict and simply enjoy life with my daughter and husband because I know life is so short...
