TDS Studio Store - Pickleberrypop

Annette, owner of the Australian based digital scrapbook store, Pickleberrypop graces TDS sites again with the release of the "Blush" kit in the TDS Studio. Pickleberrypop is one of the friendliest site I've personally experienced and its designers, owner and community team are always on hand to help with questions raised on digital scrapbooking. Q: How did Pickleberrypop came about and when was it established?
Annette: After the site we used to hang out at closed down suddenly, three of us who were online scrapping buddies felt a little homeless, so one of them had this crazy idea to set up her own site, and the other two helped her do it! Why the name Pickleberrypop? Well...why not?! After all, it's a name you don't easily forget! LOL Pickleberrypop has been established since 30th July 2006.

Q: How many designers do you have and where do they come from?
Annette: We have a total of 26 designers, as well as the fabulous Artisan Notebook and their Guild Encore kits. Our designers come from all over the world, literally! Australia is such a multi-cultural society that this spills over into Pickleberrypop also, with our designers coming from Australia, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Russia, Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, Italy, Indonesia, Ukraine, and Slovakia.

Q: What is Pickleberrypop’s philosophy and concept?
Annette: Our main aim is to have fun...always, and our tag line reflects this 'A little bit of scrapping and a whole lot of fun!'. We just want to provide a friendly, warm, and relaxed atmosphere where anyone is welcome, from anywhere in the world. If you don't have much time to hang around, no problem, we are there for anyone to stop by anytime, and in whatever capacity they can manage, with no pressure. We also make a big effort to help those new to digital scrapbooking, because we were all new once, and it was nice when someone was there to answer our questions and help us along the way!

Q: Your team of designers have created a beautiful kit titled, “Blush”. What is the inspiration behind it?
Annette: With Valentine's Day being only days after the release of our kit, we wanted a kit that everyone could use to scrap their loved ones, and the kit is such a cute colour scheme that you could apply it to many different themes, not just Valentines!

Q: What are some of your rewarding moments as a store owner?
Annette: I love meeting people, from all over the world. It has been such a pleasure to get to know so ..

It has been such a pleasure to get to know so ..	... many different designers, members and customers, it astounds me that a hobby such as digital scrapbooking can be so widespread, and enjoyed by so many different ages. Also, to see the site grow so much over the years has been so very rewarding, because never in a million years did I expect this to happen! Sure, I work hard as a store owner, so perhaps the growth is the benefit of a lot of this hard work, but I still can't help but think of PBP as our little Aussie site! Q: Tell us briefly of yourself and family. Annette: I am a 36 year old Mum from Melbourne, Australia, where I live with my two young kids and husband. My background is in Information Technology (IT), so tinkering with the site is something I do a lot, because I love a good challenge, and in fact, is it sad to admit that I love tinkering with the technology more than scrapping sometimes?! I never paper scrapped, and have been digi scrapping since early 2005, right after my son was born.
