Scrap Matters has established its name and popularity by having one of the diversified products in the market. Their designers, management team and owner, designer, Andrea are most welcoming and without doubt professionals with great service attitude.
It has been a pleasure knowing Andrea and her team. Their supports are heartfelt and here you have the chance again to get to know the woman behind Scrap Matters and the kit her team of designers have created.
Q: How did you come up with the name, “ScrapMatters” and when was it established?
Andrea: I was trying to decide what mattered most when coming up with my name, that got me to thinking about how I wanted to scrap what mattered most and that I wanted the shop name and logo to reflect that.
Q:What is ScrapMatters’s philosophy and specialty?
Andrea: Life is made up of many facets, all of these small bits coming together to create the essence of who we are. Certain facets matter more to us than the rest--these are what we need to prioritize and scrap. Focus on scrapping what really matters to you and you will leave a legacy, a true picture of who you are that you and your loved ones will cherish now and in the future.
Q: How many designers do you have and where do they come from?
Andrea: We have about thirty designers that come from all over the world. Each brings their unique style which creates a diverse shop.
Q: What are the most rewarding experience you have as a store owner and designer?
Andrea: I have loved getting to know all of the designers. Their hopes and dreams. I really enjoy helping the designers to create a career doing what they love.
Q: What is the inspiration when creating this collab kit for TDS Studio?
Andrea: I really wanted to create a kit that could be used year round to create a not-so-ordinary everyday kit.
Q: Tell us briefly of yourself and family.
Andrea: I love to play with photoshop and illustrator, read, work on my family history, decorate and garden. I just need more time. I have been married for 27 years to my wonderful husband--we have three grown children and are shortly gaining a son-in-law.
