Shana
is a very talented designer who has such a wide selection of kits and
matching add on's and we are proud to present an exclusive kit -
Sugar Rush. Find out more about Shana by reading our short interview with
her.
Q: What is the inspiration when creating this kit called ‘Sugar
Rush’ for TDS Studio?
Shana: My inspiration came from a bag of skittles
actually. Bright, shiny, colorful and sweet! I wanted something that
could be used year around and for any age or gender. Candy was the
perfect choice! The name came after my daughter and her friend had
finished off a bag of candy and were bouncing off the walls of my
house. ;)
Q: How would you define your style of design at this moment?
Shana: Cute. LOL I used to steer clear of "cute", but
since the birth of my granddaughter I have switched to more of a cute
style. I tend to design based on what I like to scrap. And, right now,
it's all about her!
Q: Where do you live? Does it have an influence to your inspiration and type of kits that you produce?
Shana: I live in Mississippi. However, I don't think
that influences my designs. The only geological influence I had was for
my kit 'The Last Frontier'. I created that kit so I could scrap
childhood photos from when I lived in Alaska.
Q: How long have you been designing? Why digital scrapbooking?
Shana: I started digiscrapping in late 2006. At first
I was hesitant because I love to get my hands in my crafting, but after
I got started and saw how easy it was, I was hooked! No more dragging
out all my supplies and taking up our whole dining room table with my
stuff. LOL Not long afterwards, I began dabbling in designing
materials myself.
Q: Is designing your full time occupation?
Shana: Oh no. I wish! LOL I'm a first grade teacher
by profession. Scrapping and designing are how I unwind and relax after
a hectic day with a room filled with six and seven year olds. ;)
