Let Wendyzine Scraps point to you some of the necessary steps to undertake before you start creating your layout for printing. If you have any questions relating to this topic, please don't hesitate to ask us.

Submit your questions HERE

1.Is a 20-page book 20 layouts or 20 sheets of paper (40 layouts)?
A 20 page book will contain 20 layouts. Many printers will allow you to add additional pages at an additional per-page charge. I suggest adding pages in 2's or 4's so you don't end up with blank pages in your book.

2. if I have used a Shutterfly-ready template, do I need the actions?
No. The actions only run on layouts that were not created in the correct Shutterfly-ready size to begin with.

3. How should I save my pages?
Check with your photobook printer. Many will accept JPG, in which case, I recommend using a setting of 12. Others accept PDF. I suggest a press-ready, or higher quality PDF in that case. In all cases, you want to use a 300ppi file at the actual size for best quality.

4. I uploaded high-quality JPGs, but my preview is very blurry.
It is likely that your photo printer has chosen to show you a low-resolution preview for proofing purposes. Just cerify that you uploaded a high-quality JPGs or PDFs (300ppi at full size), and your book should print just fine.
