To celebrate our son, Jarred, turning 30 years old, I decided to surprise him with a photo book of his early years. What fun it was to look back at the photos of him as a baby, toddler and young person!! It brought back so many fond and happy memories. Since we had a very cheap camera and felt at that time that developing film was expensive, I regret that we don't have an abundance of photos of that time frame. With limited photos to choose from and poor quality, it was a bit of a challenge to scrap some of the pages.
Of course, Photoshop Elements came to my rescue to tweak and improve many of the photos. I also found that blending some of the photos into the background bought out more detail in the photos as well. I am pleased with the end results of the 8.5 by 11 photo book with it's black leather cover that I ordered from Shutterfly. He has not seen the book yet so I await in anticipation for his reaction!!! Creating this book was truly a labour of love and I hope that it brings back wonderful memories of his childhood to him.
