CHA SUMMER TRADE SHOW

Trends come and trends go and the place to find the newest and greatest in Scrapbooking is the CHA Summer Trade Show in Chicago.  For 3 days, manufacturers, designers and retailers from all over the globe converge upon the Windy City to see the latest and greatest.  For a first time attendee (even the seasoned veterans!), it can be very overwhelming and overstimulating.  All of the major manufacturers set up their booths to best display their beautiful new products.  It truly is a sight to see!

At this year's show (July 18-20), there were the tried and true standby

 

products (papers, adhesives, ribbons, etc.) but there were a few new and innovative products out to impress the retailers.  My favorite product had to be the Unibind (www.unibind.com).  It gives crafters the ability to make professional looking bound books at home with a very easy to use machine.  You simply place your pages into the book cover (available through Unibind) and place it into the binding machine.  In 90 seconds, the heat from the machine melts the glue and your book is finished!  If you discover that you placed your pages in the wrong order, don't fear!  The machine will also unbind the book so you can fix your mistakes and bind it again when you are finished. I could think of so many ....
