I have just finished watching the opening ceremony of Beijing Summer Olympic. Putting aside all personal feelings and sentiments about China, I am very impressed by the spectacular performance and artistry of the opening ceremony. I especially love the large globe and how they could get the artists to walk around it, connecting people and country. The 3D effect and scroll going around the bird nest were really amazing. The fireworks - suffice to say China didn't sting on creating the wow effect. Amazing.

Being a Olympic fan, the family and I have already set up a small mini studio complete with a huge flag on one wall. I reckon the television set will be switch on

while I work. There will definitely be a lot more resting 'intervals' LOL in between work as I love several sports events.

Speaking about Olympic events, Plain Digital Wrappers has a whole list of contests and trivia with over $2000 is cash and prizes to be won! Go check out the site and win some prizes back. Click the link right on the front page.

Kirstie makes me so envious of her with her many collection of photo books. Check out her story at Photo Book Display. I am going to make time to complete the travel photo book for my daughter. This sentence "Make Time" came from Vicki of Oscraps when we interviewed her. Time management is so important and at times I neglect the needs of my family because there are just so many things to do, emails to write, another layout to complete.... Vicki just reminded me on how I could balance work and family. So from now onwards, I am going to take conscious time away from

my computer to spend more quality time with them. Working at home certainly needs more discipline but the benefits are a lot worth it. Just read what Featured Designer, Amanda has to say about it. She is currently enjoying her Disneyland vacation with the family as I write this.

As we are still on the computer subject, you have to read the amazing story by Tanya in Scrapper World. She brings to you her search for a man who will appreciate her simple nature and desire for a simple life. It's a beautiful, love story, one which will bring a smile to your face.

Looking for some bit of creativity? Karen Maggie has brought to you 4 stunning layouts using scalloped paper template. Be inspired by how the scrappers use it to personalize their layouts.

Last but not least, TheDailyScrapper is introducing Featured CTM or creative team member. Starting this issue, we will highlight one talented, creative team member who helps the designers by using their products and promote them via her layouts to online galleries.

So enjoy reading this issue and as always, Happy Scrapbooking!

Warm Regards,

Alice Koh
