When I started Digital Scrapbooking I was printing out my layouts on my home printer but was never very satisfied with the quality. One day I came across Photobooks and knew instantly that was what I wanted. I’ve always loved “coffee table books” and I liked that I could keep these photobooks out on display unlike my old paper scrapbooks.
I have 3 young children who change so much over the course of a year that I decided I would do a book each year for each of them. My eldest daughter, who is 5, loves to look through her books and remember things that have happened. Now that she can read she gets more enjoyment out of reading my journaling.
I also have photobooks that are made up of layouts of all our friends and family. People love to flick through the books and see what everyone else has been up to. It’s just like a personal gossip magazine LOL! I’ve made photobooks as gifts for people and they are always very well received and appreciated. I find that people are always very impressed with the quality of the pages.
I’m so impressed with these books that I’ve started having more photos taken of myself so that I can have my very own album.
I can sit for hours pouring over old photo albums but don’t remember a lot about the circumstances surrounding the photos. This way, with photobooks of my scrapbook pages, I can share so much more than just the photo with friends and family, they can actually get the whole story.
