Autism Walk on September 13, 2008

There were over 250 teams that showed up for the special event. There were information booths, activities for the kids, a petting zoo, free water and snacks. The walk was held at Nashville SuperSpeedway, Lebanon, TN Over $190, 000 was raised for this special Day!!! The day was perfect with all the hurricanes around us, we had a bright sunny day and after walking the track it was getting hot. They closed the ceremony around 12.00 pm telling us that the results of the t-shirt contest would be announced in November. (We got our fingers crossed). I had a few people tell me that they loved our shirts and that had seen our team online. They did announce that the Digi-Scrap Now for the team of For The Love of Mckayla won two VIP tickets to Grand Ole' Opry to see who you choice. My daughter about cried. She wishes she could take you all with her to see one of the shows. I will go with her and you can bet that I will have my camera again. So with all that said.......here are some highlights of our team at the Walk Now for Autism Walk:

Our family and friends gave it all by walk- ing around the speedway 3 times which was 1.33 mies long. Some couldn't walk but came for the support.	Our team. Mckayla's in the wagon

You can see more photos of the event at For Mckayla. I created our Team T-Shirts using the Digi-Scrap Now for Autism kit that was donated from designers all over the world.
