How is Digital
Scrapbooking Green?

In today’s world, we often hear the term “green” being used to describe something or someone as being “earth-friendly” or “recycle conscious”. Just as timely are the terms “frugal” and “money conscious” that describe what we are being forced into with our current economic situation that seems to be world-wide. Many of us have had to make changes in our lives and shift over to the environmentally conscious way of thinking in order to save money and save our beautiful world.

We, as a digi-scrapping community, are already ahead of the game. There are so many ways that our hobby/business is green. For example, I have come up with a list of ways that digital

 

scrapbooking versus paper scrapbooking helps the environment:

• We are helping to save trees
• Each purchase of digi scrapping supplies can be used more than once
• We save money not buying supplies and tools
• We save gas purchasing our supplies online
• We save gas attending online crops and chats
• Electricity is relatively less expensive than gasoline
• We save space in our homes
• We can share our layouts and online galleries with others digitally at virtually no cost

There are so many other reasons I choose to scrap digitally versus traditionally, such as making copies of my scrapbooks - I don’t have to.....
